Julia joined the Board of The Soup Kitchen in 2023 as she had recently moved to Victoria and was looking for meaningful ways to connect with the community. The Soup Kitchen’s mission of feeding the hungry resonates with her beliefs of giving back to the community in which she lives. She has found the organization’s volunteers to be very committed to the cause. Prior to joining the Board, Julia worked in international higher education for 25 years and then joined Doctor’s without Borders and has worked in over 15 countries.
