Simon joined The Soup Kitchen in 2018, after retiring from 35 years as an educator and administrator. He wanted to continue to service the wider community, and eventually Simon and his wife Jenny became Team Leads during COVID. They both have had the opportunity of working with small groups of incredible people who really bonded as a team, and after a few iterations with volunteers coming and going, the vibe and positivity remain strong. Joining the Board was an unexpected role that came out of the blue, and is one that Simon is committed to, in service to The Soup Kitchen.
