Cara is a Chartered Professional Accountant with extensive experience in the marine and shipyards industry, bringing a strong foundation in financial stewardship, operational efficiency, and strategic planning. Giving back to her community has always been close to her heart—from running her annual “Sourdough Fundraiser” for the BC Cancer Society to volunteering as a Strata Council Treasurer.
After recently relocating to Victoria, Cara was eager to connect with and contribute to her new community. She began volunteering as a Friday Soup Maker in 2025 and has since joined our Board of Directors, where she hopes to ensure the long-term financial and organizational sustainability of The Soup Kitchen.
In her spare time, you will find Cara running or refueling with homemade sourdough.
